Why this quiz exists

Created to make studying more meaningful

The Prince and the Pauper Quiz is a free educational support tool created to help students understand and review the story, especially when preparing for school assessments.

The project began with a simple, personal goal: help my daughter study for a test in a lighter, more visual and interactive way. At first, it was meant only for use at home, with questions organized by chapter, explanations after each answer, review of mistakes and a final challenge to reinforce what she had learned.

When some of her school friends saw the quiz, they liked the idea and asked to use it too. That is why we decided to make it freely available to other students who are going through the same reading, revision and test-preparation process.

Our educational objective

Our goal is to support comprehension of The Prince and the Pauper by helping students recall and connect characters, events, relationships, settings and important details from the narrative.

The activities are designed as a complementary step after reading: students can study chapter by chapter, receive explanations, revisit mistakes and then test themselves with a broader final challenge.

The quiz complements the book

This site does not replace reading the book. It does not provide the full text of the work and is not intended to replace classroom activities, teacher guidance or the edition used by the school.

For the best learning experience, students should read the assigned chapters first and then use the quiz to review and strengthen their understanding.

How the study experience works

  • Chapter study: short question sets focused on one part of the story.
  • Learning from mistakes: incorrect answers are saved for later review.
  • Explanations: each answer is followed by a short explanation to reinforce understanding.
  • Final Challenge: a mixed set of questions from all 14 chapters for broader revision before a test.
  • Progress: students can see completed chapters, points and overall performance.

An independent, family-created project

This is an independent educational project made for study support and shared freely with the school community. It is not official material from a school, publisher or rights holder, and it is not presented as a substitute for the book itself.

Privacy and advertising

The quiz stores only the information needed to identify the student and preserve learning progress. The public educational experience is kept separate from the private administrative dashboard.

When Google advertising is enabled, the application only offers an advertising opportunity at a natural transition after a chapter has been completed and the student chooses to continue to another activity. Google ads are not requested between questions, after answer feedback, during review, during the Final Challenge, on registration, settings or administrative screens.
